Pritham's Legacy

What does ‘Pri Up’ mean? Pritham’s cousin, Ravi, while speaking at her memorial, said that as her life had been one of inspired courage and determined love, he wanted to change the saying “Man Up” to “Pri Up”. She was his inspiration to do just that: show up and do what you are being called upon to do in this moment.

In that vein we are founding the Pritham or Pri Foundation. We envision that it will help others continue the work that was so close to her heart: the bringing together of the alternative and allopathic worlds. So that her legacy of joyous caring and deep love can be carried on into this world that she so cared about serving.

You, as part of her far reaching community are being given the chance to be part of this legacy by pledging a monthly contribution so that others may be helped in carrying on her dream. Please donate now below. Thank you with immense gratitude.

Pritham’s medical school community was her last community to be included in her mantle of love and gratitude. It was there that she felt she could be the most effective, where she brought all that she had learned her entire life together in what she felt was her true path. Having grown up in what might be described as an alternative life style, she maintained the practices and beliefs that were deeply meaningful to her. It was Pritham’s intention to bring what she believed, what she learned and had experienced together with osteopathy and especially OMM (osteopathic manipulation) appeared to offer.

During more than two years,Pritham explored and pursued healing in the most promising complementary and alternative fields as well as the most current and emerging  medical/clinical cancer treatments. She did so with determination, optimism, and also thoughtfully and with great care. She developed a vision for a website which would bring together the vast research she and her friends did on the healing offerings in both the so-called alternative and allopathic worlds, so others could navigate their diseases with more support.  In a sense she used both her disease and herself as the documented experiment. Her deep wish was to help others with what she learned from her own experience.

We will have a yearly contest and the applicants will be asked to write 1-2 pages about their passion for bringing these two worlds together to better achieve health and well being.. The winner will receive a $5,000 scholarship. We intend to carry this on for a 5 year minimum. We so appreciate your joining in Pritham’s dream and allowing her legacy to live on.
