You cannot use your brain to get to where you want to be, because your brain will fear for its nonexistence. You have to throw everything that identifies you away, as Guru Nanak did, as Lord Buddha did, as Jesus did (and as far more women did who just didn't get any recognition for it throughout history). You come to yoga so you can experience the sensation of being where you want to be. And the only way you get to that sensation is by dropping your existence for a moment here and a moment there. When you laugh uncontrollably for example, you have forgotten yourself in a moment of time and you're free.
