Kundalini yoga is not about perfecting the outer form. Kundalini yoga is about perfecting the inner connection, the inner form. You attempt to bring your forehead to your knees and in the process, your knees could be quite far away still. The truth is you can still get everything you need out of the asana. It is not only about how flexible you are. It is about how committed you are. You might not be able to freely open your hips and hamstrings, but you can still stretch into that physical body glove, stretch into that emotional body glove, stretch into that mental body glove – even for just one instant. You can make the connection and you suddenly feel a soft shutter as the bodies finds union, yoga. In that union there is no questioning, am I doing it right? Practice is the perfection.
