Happiness Does Not Come From Thought


Happiness doesn't come from thought. It happens when whatever thoughts there are, are assembled clearly, transparently and simply. Even amongst complexities, there is always a point of simple clarity. Search for this point by knowing it exists. This knowing becomes a kind of guarantee; it uses a neurological absolute as an advantage point. What is to be already is – accurately perceives what is and appreciates what can be into existence. Happiness employs this pattern – this neurological framework – to receive the next moment from the ripples of joy. Appreciates to clarity, which leads to simplicity and back to happiness – as the song goes, “happiness runs in a circular motion.” Because success is the result of many failures, there are no pre-conditions, suppositions or previous requirements for the success of happiness. It can arise from any moment at any moment. From each failure (and its sadness) it is up to you to assemble a new moment – one filled with appreciation, clarity, transparency and simplicity. Within the new assembled construct after each failure, it is additionally up to you to perceive what can become and appreciate it into existence. From this undistorted point of appreciation you anticipate the next moment respectively and receptively.

This is not something that can be thought about to be brought about; it is something that can only be “entrained” through consistent discipline. In the same way you would discipline a tennis swing to create topspin, a golf swing to create intended direction, a violin fingering to have the harmonic spacing, a sentence to impart understanding, etc. All by attempting, practicing and mirroring an imagination of it working.

Happiness isn’t desired or acquired, happiness is allowed to arise. Happiness is never stiff; it is as flexible as water. If at first it does not succeed, it will try and try again. Such is the resilient nature of happiness.
